Time Trial and Triathlon Bike Fit
The Tour de France always delivers when it comes to eye candy. This year I spent a ton of time pouring over Time Trial bikes. The unique equipment choices, tweaks and never seen before goodies always get me wound up. I am like a kid in a candy store.
If you pay attention, you’ll notice how different each rider had their bike set up. Bike fit comes down to a science during a time trail or triathlon. You want to squeeze the most power you can out of the most aerodynamic position.
Below are too examples of how different bike fit can be.
First up is Contador’s TT bike. Look at his stem and bar setup compared to Cadel’s below. There is only a 1.5 inch difference in body height between the two. Yet a huge difference in bike fit.
Contador’s bike. He is 5 ft 9 1⁄2 in.
Cadel Evan’s TT bike He is 5 ft 8 in.

The moral of the story is, don’t set your bike up like your friend does. Get a bike fit! Dial in your position and get the most of yourself when racing the clock.
Stop in for a consultation. We can fit your bike and compare your power output during the process to find the best position for you.
